Bronze sculptures & paintings

Woodland

Naomi Bunker (pictured right) works from her farmhouse studio in Craig-Cefn-Parc, Swansea.  She studied sculpture for four years in Carmarthen College of Art where she received a distinction.

Naomi’s work has been exhibited in numerous art galleries around Wales, and she has been commission to do private and public bronze sculptures.

Naomi explains,
"I live with my partner Ian and two sons Sam and Emlyn.  We live in area of natural beauty; this countryside inspires my artwork, which revolves around the wildlife and ancient feel of the mountains and woods locally.  I try to inject a subtle hint of this spirit of nature and mythology into my work, so that it encaptures a slightly mystical or magical feeling, and it is this feeling and my love of nature that I want to express through my artwork."

All the work is created in clay first which enables the customer to get a good idea of the final result. Changes can be made at this stage to ensure that the final bronze work meets the customer's requirements.

This shows the pouring of the bronze into the mould.
